Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time – 44 hours per week

Our client, a leading wholesale distributor for the motor trade in the North of Scotland, is searching for a dynamic leader. You’ll be at the helm of warehouse and distribution operations for their Aberdeen and Dundee depots, playing a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction, driving operational excellence, and managing an engaged and productive team.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead from the Front: You’ll take ownership of the warehouse and distribution operations, guiding a skilled team to achieve peak performance while ensuring your customers receive the best possible service.
  • Operational Excellence: With your hands-on approach, you’ll optimise operational costs, manage resources effectively, and ensure KPIs are met and exceeded.
  • Customer-Centric Focus: You’ll place the customer at the heart of everything, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of all service commitments.
  • Develop Your Team: As an experienced leader, you’ll mentor, inspire, and build a team that reflects the core values of respect, integrity, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Drive Results: You’ll have a keen eye for sales targets, team performance, and operational efficiencies.

About You:

  • You’re firm but fair, capable of making tough decisions while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • You have a proven track record in warehouse, distribution, or retail management, with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • You excel at leading teams, mentoring others, and developing talent, ensuring your team is motivated to hit targets and exceed expectations.
  • You’re commercially savvy, with a focus on maximising profits and minimising loss, while always putting the customer first.
  • You’re organised, proactive, and confident in managing a fast-paced environment where operational excellence is key.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a service-focused business or a retail environment with a strong customer service ethos.
  • Success in managing KPIs, delivering sales and service targets, and driving operational efficiency.
  • A track record of recruiting, developing, and leading teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages and experience in managing compliance across Health & Safety, GDPR, and Quality Control.
  • The ability to travel between Aberdeen and Dundee depots as part of your remit.
